About Kernas
The name Kernas is inspired by the German word "Kern" (core). Every organization has a core — its assets, equipment, contracts and operational processes. Our mission is to help businesses manage and protect that core.
Why Kernas exists
In many businesses, important information is scattered across different places.
Equipment sits in spreadsheets. Contracts sit in folders. Keys get logged by hand. Inspection deadlines live somewhere in a calendar — or get forgotten. And some of it only works because individual employees happen to know where something is and when something needs to get done.
We knew this problem from our own businesses.
For our real estate company, we had to manage properties, contracts, vehicles, equipment, keys, documents and recurring tasks ourselves. We were looking for software that would simply bring all this information together in one place.
We found plenty of specialized tools and large systems with an equally large implementation effort to match. What we didn't find was a platform that starts simple, connects different areas with each other, and still grows with a business's requirements.
So we built Kernas.
What we believe
Everything a business manages belongs in one system.
Equipment, vehicles, keys, contracts, properties, documents, people and inspections shouldn't be scattered across different lists and programs. Kernas is meant to turn that into one shared platform.
Software has to work without an onboarding project.
Good software shouldn't take weeks of consulting and training before it's usable. That's why Kernas is built so businesses can get started themselves. At the same time, the platform is meant to keep up with more complex structures and growing requirements.
Fair pricing doesn't need a large sales apparatus.
Kernas is built consistently around self-service. Prospects can try the software themselves, compare plans transparently and get started directly — without a sales call and without a lengthy onboarding project. That means our customers don't have to help fund a large sales organization. For businesses with more complex requirements, custom integrations or enterprise needs, we offer personal product demos on request. And because professional asset management shouldn't only make sense above a certain company size, Kernas Free stays free forever for small inventories.
Your data belongs to you.
We don't want customers to stay with Kernas because they have to. We want them to stay because Kernas works for them. That's why the data you store belongs to you and can be exported at any time.
Who's behind Kernas

M. Becker
Founder & Software Architect
We built Kernas because we couldn't find the software we needed ourselves.
I'm a software architect and entrepreneur.
Alongside software projects, I've worked in real estate for years and manage real assets myself — including properties, vehicles, contracts, equipment and tradesperson projects.
That's exactly where Kernas came from.
For my real estate company, I needed one central way to manage a wide range of information and operational assets. I wanted to know at a glance what exists, where it is, which documents belong to it, when something needs to be inspected or serviced, and which contracts are tied to it.
The solutions I found were either limited to individual areas or considerably more involved than I wanted for my own businesses.
So we started building the software ourselves.
What began as a solution for my own needs gradually grew into Kernas.
Today it has become a platform that helps businesses organize their assets and operational information in one place — from a small inventory to more complex company structures.
Kernas is simple enough to start without a project or consulting, yet flexible enough to grow with a business's requirements.
